Beyoncé will headline halftime show at NFL game in Houston on Christmas Day: “Netflix crashed due to a Bey Swarm”



BEYONCÉ will headline the halftime show at the Houston Texans’ game against the Baltimore Ravens on Christmas Day in her hometown of Houston, it has been announced.


The performance will air live on Netflix during the highly anticipated holiday matchup at NRG Stadium, marking a unique blend of music and football.


The NFL Christmas Day doubleheader kicks off with the Kansas City Chiefs facing the Pittsburgh Steelers at 1pm ET, followed by the Texans hosting the Ravens at 4.30pm ET. The games will be available for streaming on Netflix, with local broadcasts in the competing teams’ cities and access on US mobile devices via NFL+.


In a teaser video for the event, Beyoncé is seen in a striking red, white, and blue leather outfit, staying true to the bold aesthetic of her current era. The video features her catching a football atop a car made of roses, with a license plate that reads “BRNCNTRY,” giving fans a glimpse of the high-energy performance to come.


“Netflix crashed due to a Bey Swarm,” Beyonce wrote on Instagram.


Beyoncé’s Christmas Day performance comes as she racks up a record 11 nominations for the 2025 Grammy Awards. With these nominations, she becomes the most-nominated artist in Grammy history. Among the nods are Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year for Texas Hold ‘Em, along with nominations in country, Americana, and rap categories.


This performance and her record-breaking Grammy recognition further cement Beyoncé’s place as one of the most influential and groundbreaking artists of her generation
