TWITCH streamer Kai Cenat has reclaimed the title of the platform’s most-subscribed creator, surpassing Ironmouse’s subscriber record less than two weeks into his month-long “Mafiathon 2” subathon.
Cenat, who previously held the all-time subscriber record in February 2023, reached over 327,000 paid subscriptions by Monday night (November 11), with that figure growing to more than 340,000 the following day, according to Twitch.

On Twitch, subscribers pay a monthly fee to access exclusive perks, such as custom emotes and ad-free viewing, which sets them apart from regular followers who can watch content for free. Cenat, with 14.1 million followers, is the fifth-most-followed creator on the platform.
The achievement comes as Cenat continues his high-profile, 24/7 livestream, aimed at breaking his own subscriber record. During the stream, which started on November 1, Cenat interacts with his audience around the clock, offering a mix of gaming, pop culture discussions, and personal moments. The event, billed as a "subathon," allows Cenat to attract subscriptions in real-time as viewers watch him live for extended periods.
Cenat's original “Mafiathon” in 2023 helped him break the all-time subscriber record, but he was overtaken by Ironmouse in September, when the latter achieved a peak of 326,252 subscribers after nearly 40 days of continuous streaming. Cenat’s current campaign marks his attempt to reclaim that title, and so far, it has been a success.
At 22 years old, Cenat has emerged as one of the most influential figures in online streaming. He ranked #24 on Forbes' list of the top-earning creators in 2024, with estimated earnings of $8.5 million, making him the highest-ranking Twitch streamer on the list. His growing influence is fueled not only by his gaming streams but also by his strategic collaborations with celebrities and other influencers.
Celebrity cameos have played a major role in the success of “Mafiathon 2.” On November 4, Cenat visited Snoop Dogg’s recording studio in Los Angeles, where the rapper gave him a tour of the studio, which includes a basketball court, arcade, and theatre. Rapper Lil Uzi Vert appeared on the stream, performing live for Cenat’s viewers. Other stars who have joined the stream include Kodak Black, Denzel Curry, Quavo, and iCarly star Miranda Cosgrove. Tennis champion Serena Williams also participated, joining Cenat for a video chat on Monday.
Cenat began his career on YouTube in 2018, creating prank and comedy videos that eventually helped him build a large online following. He transitioned to Twitch in 2021, where he quickly rose to prominence with his gaming content and casual pop culture commentary. His collaborations with major celebrities such as Drake, Nicki Minaj, 21 Savage, and Kevin Hart have further solidified his place as one of Twitch’s most successful creators.
