RIHANNA added a playful twist to her recent visit to Barbados, sharing a tongue-in-cheek photo of herself posing at a bus stop in front of her own Fenty Beauty ad campaign.
On Sunday, the pop icon took to Instagram to share a short video showing her sitting on a bench with one of her Fenty Beauty photoshoots displayed on a nearby billboard.
The accompanying caption read, "I'm just waiting for de bus (sic)."
What made the moment even more special was that the bus stop bore the name "Monica"—a name that holds personal significance to the singer, as it is also her mother's name.
Last month, Rihanna announced the launch of Fenty Beauty in the Caribbean, marking a major milestone for her growing beauty empire.
“After all these years, I’m thrilled to announce that Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin are finally going to be available across the Caribbean and in my home, Barbados,” she announced in October. “Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin were inspired by my personal beauty needs, and growing up in the Caribbean, I know you’ll find something that works for you.”
The lighthearted post caught the attention of her brand, with a cheeky response from a Fenty representative in the comments: "Bus. It. Downnn for a SAVAGE."
However, the fun moment also sparked a wave of questions from fans eager to know when they can expect new music from the superstar.
One follower jokingly wrote, "Me waiting for new music from u," referencing the highly anticipated album R9.
Rihanna's eighth studio album, Anti, was released in 2016, and though she released the single Lift Me Up"for the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack in 2022, her next full album has been long-awaited.
The question of new music also resurfaced following the recent Fenty Beauty launch event in Barbados, where Rihanna made a surprise appearance behind the DJ booth.
While addressing the crowd, she remarked, "Music was the thing that got the attention, but God had other plans for me."
The comment reignited concerns among fans who fear R9 may never materialise, with some wondering if Rihanna may not release new music again at all.
